High demand for Laser Cutting in 2013

2013 was an exciting year for Essex Laser. Some of our laser cut parts were used by Facit Homes in one of their prefabricated house and the house was then featured on the Channel 4’s Grand Designs.

We helped a number of artists create artworks using laser cut metals. Eloise Hawser used laser cutting in her exhibition at the Karsten Schubert Gallery in London and British installation artist Tim Knowles commissioned Essex Laser to create 100 plane forms for Windgrid, a new City of Sydney commission that he was involved with. Tim and Essex Laser worked closely together to develop the project from prototypes to the final design, which comprised 2 laser cut and folded parts that slotted together to create a plane.

Finally towards the end of 2013, we were delighted to assist on the London Gateway project. Essex Laser provided a super fast turnaround, laser cutting nearly 1000 stainless steel parts to help MW Industrial Supplies get the quay operational in time.

2014 is off to a great start and we look forward to helping organisations, artists, construction companies and large projects with a variety of laser cutting jobs in the coming year.
