A one-off laser cut angel sculpture for a client

We recently had a very interesting laser cutting job for a client.  Although we do a lot of bulk laser-cut items, every now and again, we get one-off laser cutting projects that are a bit special from clients, and this was one of them.

We were initially provided with some photos of small brooches and some CAD files.  The brief was to create an angel sculpture using the brooches and the CAD files to create the sculpture.  It had to match the brooches to the client’s satisfaction.

We started by making a laser cut and welded mild steel mock-up of the angel sculpture and then when the client was happy with the way it looked, we created the real thing by laser cutting and welding it using mirror polished stainless steel.

We were extremely pleased with the finished result as was our client

Laser cutting can create all kinds of beautiful things as easily as the plain functional things that we more often get to produce at Essex Laser, but it’s always good to get an individual creative laser cutting project like this one.
